Trust Calibration
Trust calibration means helping users trust a system at the right level.
The interface should avoid both blind trust and unnecessary suspicion.
Why It Matters
If users trust too much, they may accept wrong or risky output.
If users trust too little, they may ignore useful help or abandon the system.
Interface Patterns
- show confidence or uncertainty
- explain system limits
- make sources or evidence visible
- give users control before important actions
- ask for confirmation when risk is high
