Dataset Description Checklist

The dataset must be described by specifying:

  • for what purpose the data was collected
  • who collected it
  • who funded data collection, or who put time into creating it
  • when it was collected
  • through which means or methodology it was collected
  • if there are categories, how they were defined
  • if there are values, which units were used
  • if there are indexes, how they are composed or calculated
